I got a few days off, and we decided to go to Dover with my sister, my main aim of the trip, is to climb the white cliff, it was a fine day, no rain:> i figured this might be the last of our outdoor trip for the season, as winter is coming, weather getting colder and days get shorter, oh yeah, is getting dark really early nows aday..anyway, we woke up at 640am, get ready, reached Victoria station at 830 am and reached dover around 11am, we went to the tourist information office, our initial plan is to take the hop on and off bus, and hope that it will bring us to the cliff and same time can go round the town and look around, but the guy told us the bus company stopped operating..gasp!! sad, nobody bother to visit dover anymore? hope is just becouse of winter..anyway, we were there on monday, no tourist at all, infact most of the time there were only two of us on the cliff, i loved it, and the best thing is we feel completely at ease on our own:>
anyway, we walked from the tourist office to the seaside, water is not that clear, what do I expect:> is a sea port:> oh ya, forgot to mention, Dover is the nearest seaport that can bring you to france, think is only take about an hour to get to the other side, cool huh:> as long as you got your passport, you can just buy a ticket and hop on to the ferry:>Infact is so close that when we were on the cliff, our phone actually switched to autoroaming mode, we were using french net work at times:>reminds me of when i was in JB and i got singapore net work service..ahh..home!!
So, we walked along the seaside, and as we get closer to the cliff, the view just get better:>
Can you guys see the building on the cliff, thats belong s to the dover castle, think is some secret escape tunnel and underground hospital during the war time.Houses At dover are very nice too..the guy told us we have to walk uphill like 40-50 minutes to reach the top of the cliff, and there will be a visitor center and a cafeteria, then we can walk to the st magerates village , which is another 1-2hours away, well, sounds like a great plan to us, we prepeared our lunch and make a full flask of hot tea:> Today is pure walking and picnic day:>
At last, after almost one hour walking , we reached the visitor centre..nice.. but thats not the end of our trip, we are going to continue to walk..
The Dover castle, is at the other side of the cliff, looks good from our side, but we had done too many castle, so we decided to skip it..
So, we continue to walk, wind is really strong, but the view is great too, there are not much plants and trees on the cliff, just plain..but there are farms around, dont know what they grow..we did come across few locals walking on the hill, but mostly we were on our own..and we can hear the announcement from the busy sea port:>

The wind is so strong, all the trees on the cliff only grow in one direction..cool:>
Is nice when you see the cliff from a nearer distance, but i dare not go too near the cliff given the wind is so strong, might just blow me off the cliff, haha.. my sister say most of the time the wind is pushing her forward, so she dun really feel that tired. hahaha...bluff..
Then suddenly out of no way, there is this pony standing there..we were so excited, haha..the pony looks friendly, it was shown on the leaflet that there will be some exmoor pony on top of the cliff, guess thats the one..
After like 1 hour plus walking, we reached the light house, stop for a while, we continued our journey , to the bay and then make it to the village, well, we thought the bay might have a nice view, but not really, the place is so quiet, so we have to climb again uphill to make our way to the village bus stop:<
thats where the village is, village on the white cliff, how nice is that:>
so, atlast after almost 4 hours long walk in total, we arrived the this nice peaceful village at 3pm, cathch a bus back to dover, hit the train ant 415pm, reach london at 6pm..wonderful day..
Today woke up with muscle ache,ahh..age catching up..hm..kilimanjaro..funny my sis say she feel ok, well, must be the wind then..haha
