At canterbury The River Stour, there is this chair, long long time ago, this part of the world was famous for witchchrafting, so, if people think that you might be a witch, they will tie you up on the chair, lower it in to the river and soak you for like 15 minutes, clearly, if you survive that 15 minutes, you are a witch!!! So, thay will then bring you to the public and burn you alive..HOW IF YOU DIDNOT SURVIVE???Well, Obviously, you are not one, then your family will recieve a Letter Of Appologies from the city council, maybe some money, and a good proper burial..well, At least ur reputation was still intact, haha..
Other than witchy affair, they also used this chair for Naggy Wife:> Hence if the man of the house report to the council that his wife is being too naggy, they can then go and bring the wife to the chair, tie her there, soak her in to the river a few times, until she learned her lesson..hmmm, so unfair, how about lazy and stupid husband??
