It started snowing since last night, n continued to this morning!!! London has not been snowing this heavily for years:> the whole town was practically stood still in everything!! N I was woken up early of the morning, instead doing an 11 am shift, they want me to go early cos there are no one turning up to work!!! Y ME!!! Ajay said since I am willing to pay few hundred bucks to see snow in Germany, might as well walk to work today n can enjoy the snow for free- great idea!!!

So I got up, put on all my warm gears, got my camera n off I went!!!!

it was really difficult walking on the snow, is like you are walking on a skating rink all the time, it took me 1 and a half hour to get to work!!! But it was a great walk:>

Happy Chinese new year to all!!!!So sad I cant be home for new year:<< first time in 31 years!!! It was not that bad actually, lots of thing has been happening!! Attending leaving do and got to catch up with my assignment and all..I NEED MORE TIME!!!!!

But the best thing was I get to spend my first day of new year with my primary school friend!!!! My primary school friend from Seremban, never met since we were 11 yrs old!!!It was a great meeting and we get to catch up with each other life so much!!! These are one of those people that I thought I will never meet them again in my whole life:> And when you find one of them you will find all of them!!! N YES!!!! Not only I found 1 or two of them- I found five of them!!!!! I am just so so happy!! To know that they are doing great out there somewhere and we still remember each other after so long ---is just amazing!! This might be one of the new year that I am missing my family but hey..is not all bad!! to be able to catch up with Cindy in London is definitely one of the greatest thing ever !!

This is not a good start of the year!!
I am having itchy eyes, sore throat, coughing and sneezing non stop n my nose is running like a opened tap!! If only I can put a stopper to it but I might drown myself in my own boogie instead!! What a terrible idea:> I must say I have not been this sick for a little while!!
It Is bad enough having a coldest winter of all, I called in sick n have to be reminded on how desperate they need somebody to work and they might have to cancel cases blah blah blah... Am I killing someone here for being sick??? And i have stuck at home for three days already!!!! I am going crazy here!! Sneaked out to library today and soon after I reached the library I know I have done a grave mistake- I was the only one sneezing and coughing uncontrollably and people looking at me like I am the biggest pest in the world. I quickly print and zap all my articles and run backed to my little room that is probably infested with million of flu bugs by now!!!!
God!! This bloody winter!!! When is it going to end??
Worst thing I cant go home for new year!! Last year this time I was getting ready to board the flight to go home and now!! I am sitting in front on this computer blogging!!! And I still have lots of work to do for my work book and assignment!!!

Dachau concentration camp memorial site

I dun know alot about Hitler, his regime or political point of view. Killing is not my favorite subject and torturing is definitely not my thing. The nearest thing that I ever come across about concentration camp is the movie- life is beautiful.

Being able to visit a real thing in Munich had definitely opened my eyes .

The first concentration camp under Hitler regime.

It was on our last day in Germany, cold and gloomy and grey.. We followed the tour guide, took the underground from the city, took us about 30 minutes reached the nearest town n then we took the bus to the memorial site. According to the guide, those prisoners was transport to the camp the same way, but they have to walked from town instead of a 15 minutes bus ride.

The site was smaller than I thought it would be, everything seems monotones and colourless inside, and give u an eerie feeling n it chilled right in to your heart. I dun remember anyone actually talked loud or laugh out loud through out the tour.. ofcos there is nothing merry to laugh about anyway.

Later I learned that Dachau camp was a working camp, they worked the prisoner here till skin and bone, exploited all their basic rights and energy, use them on medical experiment . Drove them till there was nothing left, then they were shipped to other big extermination camp...

In this very hall way, they were force to strip down n shaved n disinfected, all their belongings was taken away, even their names.. then they will be given a number, n a uniform that come with different badges, to tell your prisoner status.. eg the red triangle is those who have done wrong, if you got the yellow star probably means you are jews, if you got that red big dot on you means they can shot you anytime if you show any sign of "trying to escape. " If you got all the tags on you, well, all the best, you might not last long..

Dachau was the first concentration camp in Germany, it was opened the day before Hitler was elected as the leader of the country. I always got this impression that they only locked jews away, but seems they can locked anyone away, the communists, those who was not supporting the government. Even those who were suspected as homosexual!!

And then they were worked day and night, and they were punished for silly reasons- too short, too tall, wearing glasses, laugh too loud etc..

Not only they were whipped, they were also locked up in a dark room, for weeks and months, maybe the dark room prisoner was slightly luckier than the standing room prisoners, those who forced to stand in a small room that is not tall enough for them to stand straight and not big enough for them sit down. they have to stay in those half squat positions for days.

Then there was a reconstructed barracks, small room that was fit for maybe 7- 800 people was filled with 2-3000 people at one time..lots of them was suffocated and died during their sleep.

Till now no one knows the exact number of dead in the camp, lots of them was not documented and recorded.

And when they cant handle with that many dead bodies, they built a crematorium.

The very first crematorium.

Then they built the Barrack X, which have a gas chamber and few more ovens. they told the prisoner is time for shower, then lead them to this room that looks like there are lots of shower heads at the top, but instead they filled the room with gas through pipe and poisoned them. after that they dragged them to the next room and pile them up, wait to be cremated .

Also it was said that they hang the prisoner directly in front of the oven and then cremated them straight away.

It was a rather distressing tour, especially when you were standing in the chamber and let your imagination ran wild...But it was only my imagination, we will never be able to understand how those who died felt or what was in their mind when they were standing at that very spot...

It started raining at the end of the tour.. we quickly took our last few snap shots and walk back to the main hall...

We were then shown a short video clip about the liberation of the camp by the american..

Then We rushed back to the station to catch the train backed to city...later that night backed to london..

Two days in Munich was mostly about Hitler and THIRD REICH..up till now I still dun know a lot about all these histories. BUT may be the only thing that I have learned and absorbed from our tour guide was- We must learned from histories!!! By knowing the gruesome part of the histories, accepted that it had happened before and learned from it is the only way we wont do it again!!!

What a great lesson of life.

What have I done so far??? NOTHING BUT SHOPPING!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Two pair of shoes, two pairs of pants, two DKNY purses, three tops.. Three perfumes..What else, I cant really remember:>
Winter sale is the greatest thing ever!! Been shopping almost everyday since 27th dec 2008!!! Can you believe it??
Anyway, looked back year 2008, has been a good fruitful year, things that I wanted to do is mostly done, people come and go but that is life, Wong Yi Huey is old enough to accept life as it is!!!:> N SSN WONG is officially back to business from yesterday!! Nothing will change but I think I do have to give myself a wee bit of credit on that:>
N the highlight of the month should be I found two of my primary school friends on FACEBOOK!!!!! This is HUGE!!! We are talking about primary school friend from my first primary school when I was 11 yrs old!!!! People that I never imagine I would ever find them again!!! Ofcos things changed but the fact that your best friends that you lose contact since 11yrs old still remember you n doing well out there is AMAZING!!! N one of them will be flying to london soon!!! I am so hope that I can meet her up!!!
Anyway, I hope year 2009 will be a great year for me:> Hope every one will be in good health, more money n more love please:>

I have been working over the xmas and did abit of shopping on the boxing day sale..the sale is great!!!!!!!!!!

Anyway, back to Germany!!!
Munich was our last stop..only stay for two days, din get to go round alot..But we saw something interesting while we were on a walking tour!!!

BEAUTY QUEENS!!!!

Not quite sure what kind of beauty contest is that, maybe some Miss world thingy..But I find most of the girls was ok only..maybe if you see them from tele it will be different, but ofcos there are a few really good looking one!!! Like Miss Alps- Icy queen!!!

ALSO MISS MALAYSIA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

SEE!!! MISS MALAYSIA was so friendly and she gave me a big smile!!!
WAY TO GO MISS MALAYSIA!!!!!!!I am not sure what is her name though..

Miss Czech Republic looks good as well- long leg red dress!!
It was freezing cold that day in Munich, may be 1-2 degree maximum..and all those skinny beauty queen have to wear so little and stood there for good 15 minutes for the press to takke photos!!!
wonder how they can stand the cold..

Personally I feel xmas market in Munich is still the best,big town square with lots of light and stalls and the crowd!!

If you have plenty of time, do go thru all those stall n those pretty things that they are selling.

Wati found this hostel in Ortenberg, we got such a hard time looking for cheap accomodation in the black forest itself, and youth hostel has always been our first choice especially when we are travelling in pack. Anyway, initial intention is it was the cheapest and closest to where we wanted to go, then I found out that it was actually a castle!! Was there since 1167!!!!!

how exciting!!!

A real castle!!!We saw it from the express way and it stand out so much right on top of the hill!!! So we followed Tom Tom instruction, turn left turn right and finally he said: destination arrived!!!!

But it was at the bottom of the hill-_-we looked around , din see any obvious entrance/ road, all we saw is normal houses and a big vine yard!! we drove a round the vine yard, but still couldnt find the way up the castle! After asking a old lady, we found a uphill small tiny winding road that only allow one car to pass thru at a time, hoping that it will lead us to our castle..

N the road ended after maybe 1500 meter or so at the top of the hill, with a big tractor parking at the end of the road, that means our car got no chance to turn round and we have to reverse all the way back to the bottom of the hill !!! Reverse on those 180 degree bend souless winding path with 60 degree slope?????

our brain just went blank n stare at each other!!!

N then miracle happened!!! three big german guys appeared from the back of the tractor with one beer bottle in their hand each!!

gosh!!!

I went hysteric n start waving in the car n shout: oh human!!! help!!! we are lost!!!!

*I guess at that time we wont even care if this three are serial killers!!! *

haha!!!! so they used their broken english and draw us a map , they even moved the tractor away so we can turn the car around. How sweet!!!! Really cant thank them enuf!! I cant imagine if there is no one up there !!!!

so it took us like maybe more than 30minutes just go round the small little town looking for our castle, and finally we arrived!!!

Cant imagine how short were those german soldier!!! Dun tell me that is for horses!!!! Horses cannot climb stairs!!

I think this is a great place to stay!!! Only down site is u got to drive to get there or else will be a long up hill walk. Price are reasonable, I am sure ortenberg got so much more to offer but unfortunately we got a tight scedule to follow..

But I will definately recommend this to every one!!!!

Cant remeber when did this Germany tour idea came up, initially we couldnt decide which part of germany should we go, just know that we are going to enjoy the xmas market, then was a choice between cologne or munich, or to munich then cross over to Austria..finally we decided to drive from Freiburg to Karlsruhe via black forest, will spend two days in black forest, n then took a train from karlsruhe to munich.

At freiburg, we marked out the route that we wanted to take to triberg, I thought I have choosen the perfect way, i mean, u want to go some where fast n easy without any complication, u take the express way, simple !!

However, our lovely Tom tom decided to do it another way, he is one good fellow who will do anything to bring u to the destination through the shortest even that means u have to take a smallest road on the universe as long as it is showing up in the satelite!!! N i think it brought us to triberg via the snow mountain that we have seen before we start our journey:>> COOL!!!!!!!!

GOOD THING HE DID THAT!!!!!

AND WE GET TO SEE SO MUCH SNOW!!!!

WE HAVE NOT SEEN SO MUCH SNOW BEFORE !!!WE GOT ALL EXCITED N STOPPED OUR CAR BY THE ROAD SITE STARTed PLAYING WITH THE SNOW!!!!

As we drove thru along, it started snowing even more heavily, n we were all screaming in the car!!! AHH!!!!!!!!!! IS SNOWING!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But as we go further, we got quieter, our car started to sway abit, at one point we cant see any car on the road, n the tyre trail seems to be fainter as we drove further up, the car was already going like 40 km/hr but i still constantly said: go slow Darren!!!

n thats the time i decided to pull out my map n realised we were on the different route :>>

finally we arrived a small town called Furtwangen, stopped for toilet break, n the kind lady told us there is a clock museum at the town:>

Thank god!!!TRAFFIC LIGHT= HUMAN N CAR!!!!!
we were not trapped in the snow anymore:>>

N we drove int o the town, found he museum with some helps, i must say German people are soooooo nice n sweet n helpful!!!!!!!!!!!

n then in the museum I saw my first cuckoo clocks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

lots n lots of them, later we know that furtwangen is actually a holiday resort,once again, have to thanks tom tom bringging us there:>

After the clock museum, we went to the near by xmas market to have some lunch..

standing under the tent in the snow having some egg roll soup with the local- best experience ever!!!!! I had two bowls of them:>>

After we had our lunch, we quickly jump into the car again to take off to triberg, we were on the tight scedule!!!! Have to go triberg n then have to go look for our hostel in ottenberg!!! Triberg is only 16 km away, but that is the most beautiful journey that we had on our entire trip!!!

I have only seen these in a post card or a calendar!!!!

N now is in my camera!!!!!!!!

When we arrived triberg, snow were much lighter..n we trekked up to the water fall near the town:>

There is only one word - COLD!!!!

And Fang Feng had time to make a snow man!!! Abit handicap, but non the less, a snow man:>

And we had a snow ball fight as well!!

And later in the town we visited the house of 1000 clocks n bought my first cuckoo clock:> there are so many choices!!!!! I dun even know where to start!!! And finally I chose this

THIS LITTLE BEAUTY COST ME 179 EURO!!!!! VERY FORESTY..GOT A DEER N BIRDS N PINE TREE!!!ONE DAY CUCKOO CLOCK !!!!:>>i AM HAPPY!!!!

Was planning to to buy another small cuckoo clock but upon paying I spotted this nice cow clock instead:> 62 euro!!! I bled my wallet out at the second days of the tour n have to carry this two babies for the rest of my journey...

THATS NOT THE BEST PART OF THE DAY YET!!!!

SANTA SAID: NOT ONLY I WILL GIVE U LOTS OF SNOW, I AM GOING TO MAKE U GUYS PRINCE AND PRINCESS, LET U STAY IN A CASTLE!!!!

Has been a long time!!!!!!!!!!!

I am sorry i have been so lazy in updating my life:> Lots has been happening I have been really busy with work n stuff..

Anyway, finally we are back on trip again!!! My last holidays was only like 3months ago but it was like forever ago!!

Germany was choosen in this cold winter month mainly for the xmas market n the ever attractive cuckoo clock:>

and the best thing is WE GOT OURSLEF A DRIVER!!!!! He he.. the idea of driving thru black forest during the winter months properly is the craziest idea of all!! But hei!!! that what we want!!! SNOW!!!

The arrival at the airport was kinda confusing, being the airport located at the middle of 3 countries- switzerland, germany and france.. the call it Basel-freiburg-mulhouse international, and we got out form the germany site, then we figured it will be much faster for us to get to freiburg by going into switzerland site and took a train from there.. so we entered the swiss site again..after all the moving n hopping around the two countries, finally we settled at the freiburg train station n waiting for our car!!(So tecnically we actually been to switzerland as well:>)

At the rental station we were joking that they might give us an mercedez benz.. n yes we got one, not the model that I was hoping for but is good enuf:>

Also we got ourselve a TOMTOM!!! Poor tom tom has to constantly recalculate the journey for us:> I am still not quite sure that having tom tom was a better idea than reading map, I always enjoy the process of looking for places through map, Tom Tom save u the trouble but u wont remember which route u used..n u have to constantly listen to the instruction incase u miss the turn n stuff.. anyhoo...

Tom tom did manage to help us find our hostel:>

Germany hostel is always clean n tidy n neat:> Having say the I still get bitten from bed bug at the end of the trip!!! Is just me i supposed-_-

After we settled in the hostel again we went back to the town for xmas market:> Our first xmas market!!!

lights n noise n small little things that they sell!!!! N u cant help feeling the festive season is just round th corner !! even though it was raining non stop n freezing cold, it din stop people form coming out ..

We had our dinner at the market, german sausages and potatoes rosti, We all loved the potatoes, n that become our regular snack for the rest of our journey:>

We went to the Military Tattoo while we were in Edinburgh. To our surprise, Singapore send their Police force all the way to perform and they even brought along a LION to do The Lion dance:>

Finally!!!! After all the traveling around !!! Back to reality, time to really sit tight and concentrate at work, well, at least till next month- one more course coming!!!

First thing first, I have so much to talk about DENMARK!!!!
First of all, thank you to this lovely family that willing to take me in:> It was a great experience.

And the things that I have to talk about is FOOD!!!!
I love their food!!! I guess because JP's mum(Ingrid) is such a great cook:> People who know me well should know better about me n pork!! I HATE PORK!!! I never like to eat them unless they r processed.. N GUESS WHAT!! I have been eating pork everyday since i get to Denmark n I LOVED IT!!!!!

First day supper- home made meat ball with potatoes salad!! I was a bit skeptical initially, but I had 3-4 pieces!!! N no taste of pork at all!!! Well I guess thats the key part- it does not taste like pork!!! maybe thats y i like it- means I still dun like pork that smell pork????

Anyway, day 2, the famous meat loaf n bacon roast!!!! Grace Hubby starved himself for whole day just for this!! And I must say- This is the best!!!! the meat, the potatoes, carrot plus the special sauces!!! i can never get enough of this thing!!

My second favourite thing is the tea time, after the heavy dinner, every one in the family will sit round the living room and have cup of flower tea:>

And on day three, there was a dinner party at home, had to prepare the table..

And guess what we ate?

What else?? Baked Ham!!

With potatoes n salad!!!
super yummy!!!! Food has become such a highlight of this trip n we were looking forward to dinner everyday!!!

And Ingrid also prepare some jelly for the dessert, she put all kinds of berries and boil in the port, n collect the juice n cold it in the fridge..

And we had it with ice cream:> super nice dessert:>

The other thing that Ingrid prepared for us is "Cold soup". basically they mix sour milk/ lassi with youghurt and sugar, mix the together.

And eat with this special small biscuit or any other hting that u like to put in.
I put some cherries that I bought from market:>

And smash them- look beautiful.. But I would imaginethis is more like a breakfast dish, but hmm..they take it for lunch, only for hot summer day:>

something different, bit sour, alot like youghurt or lassi, lucky I am a huge fan of Lassi:> like it:>

Also the curry meat ball and rice:> As a malaysian, I cant hardly associate pork with curry. But the curry is not hot la, just got a slight taste of curry:> soft and tender meat:> yummy!!!

I am so dead!!! left almost 3 weeks for my whole course and i have got 1 presentation n two assignment plus my competency to complete!!!!!!!! Again only got myself to blame!! N i already cant wait for my holiday after all these!!! YEAH!!!!!!!!

Had a boat party for Myra last week.. Lucky girl she is leaving for Canada!!

Rather small vessel, fit about 40-50 people..but the whole thing was abit over rated..food was awful, properly got to do with the price that we paid. All the good one was fully booked. And the boat was rocking so much at the beginning making me feeling sick n groggy..

After the food is Disco time!!!No one get to leave early:> It started from London eye and cruise all the way along the Thames till Hammersmith!!! Thames river night's view is amazing!!

Every one was so high after few drinks... Ajay even took off his jeans and showing off his hairy butt!! Not something that u would like to see in here anyway, save u guy from feeling nauseating..haha!!

Woke up at 1300hrs, decided to go down town to top up my food supply. Out from the Piccadilly circus, I walked right into a large scale demonstration, large group of Sikhs people were chanting and shouting about something, of course i wont understand, but the banner was telling something about killing and abused of Sikh in India. As the group marched down the street shouting, i quickly finished my shopping and jumped on the train home.

Passed by Barons court grave yard on my way home, found a quiet corner to sit down , squirrels were getting all excitable by my presence, pigeons walking around expecting food,Old tomb stone lying still on the ground, All so serene and summery :> I sat there with the pleasant company of the dead and the alive, finished eating my Sushi bento, and read the Chinese news paper that i picked up earlier on. On the way out of the grave yard , a group of youngsters shrieking and throwing water bomb at each other, running around the old tomb stones. A friendly black guy on the bench smile at me and said: "what a happy day huh? " Ya,What a wonderful day, wonderful way to spend an afternoon:>

went to my GP for routine blood test n guess what- she refused to screen my cholesterol for me!!!!! Unbelievable, reason being is they dun do routine cholesterol check unless you are 50 years old and above!!! CRAP!!! No wonder so many people here are getting heart attack in their mid 30s or 40s !! Becos the crappy GP thinks that there is no need to do routine check even though the patient ask for it!! So instead of the blood test i got a whole print out from her about healthy diet!! Duh!!

decided to go Ice skating with Sandy, n i found this place in internet just before i step out of the door- Alexandra Place!!
We were wondering is it worth trying out, after all is in wood green station n will take us more than half n hour to get there, but at the end of the day- no regrets:>

Is was such a great place, the ice skating rink is atleast one size bigger than the one in queensway,it only cost us 7 pounds including the skate, queensway charge 11 pounds for every thing.. n the best thing is it was built on the hill, with park n trees n fantastic view over london:>

just have to hop on the piccadilly line, drop at wood green, get on the W3 bus, n it will stop infront of the palace, how great:> another great place to go during summer:>

Other than working, went out Sunday with Grace n MW, we had "dim sum" at this fantastic chinese restaurant near Paddinton station, best dimsum that i ever had, definitely will go back again!! And at last!! the attacked of the out door ice skating rink!!! we went to the outdoor rink at Natural Science Museum. Really nice!! BUT y cant they make the rink as big as a foot ball field?? that will be so fun!! Only an hour skate, mostly was holding hand guiding MW..Blind leading the blind!! Haha!!

Another brain death in the ward, got a son who was very upset cos not had a good relationship with the dad, not seen each other for long time, n next time he saw him was in his unconcious stage...another typical case of "if only..." if only...there wont be so much guilt n regret.. and on that very day, Me n regina were once again reminded - how important it is to be nice to people around u, n tell people who u love- how much u care n love them..n i made a phone call that day:>

27/12- Planned a dinner gathering at my place, but went out shopping with John n Kaywon, home late, only started cooking at 5 pm!!! And i have to cook for 10 people!!! Haha.. It was fun, it ended up half of them turned up early helping n stressing me in the kitchen:> maybe not the best dish ever from me, but we had a great time get together n chitchat n gossip.. N the other half of the people turned up at around 1030 pm all high n drunk!!! n they continued to finish another bottle of wine n couple of beer in my room..night ended around 2 am.. just before i went to bed, i realized i forgot to take photos:<

28/12- Harrod Sale!!!! woke up early went with Sandy, after few hours of squeezing n pushing around with the crowd, we left the place with handful of shopping bags n a big hole in out pocket:> I bought couple of perfumes n some face wash plus cosmetic, also i bought a pair of super nice earring form swarovski for only GBP 19.95!!!!Went out for a drink with friends again during the night..AGAIN!!! Mind u half of them were those drunker that turned up at my place last nite:> N this nite not only they got them self all high , I too had half a bottle of Smirnoff under peer pressure !!! Horrible!! I had a Long day yesterday, early today, and long day again tomorrow!!! I am dying!!! Two days in a roll with out proper meal break!!And my period cramp is killing me!!! But must be fair, I always on with great people , helping each other so much:>I always say if i got the choice, i would rather have a intubated patient with Balloon plus filter plus swanzgan plus 10 syringe pumps than having those day 1 post op!!!!! So many things to watch n do for them, it is worse when u got someone who is super pampered n behaved like a giant baby!!! I wonder why those women spoil their men so much at home, I mean i can understand that u have to take good care of ur man n pampered him when ever u can, but feed him everyday even though he is fit n well at home??? Ever wonder why he ended up having a heart surgery??

Anyway, last post on Spain!! MALAGA!!!
Loved this place, we r only there for 2 days 1 night, n we decided to just chill n relax, i tell u, after all the rushing n walking in Barcelona, malaga is really a heaven n relaxing place tobe..

we arrived on train, n we had to take a bus from the station, had bit of problem asking where is the bus stop, English is not that common here..but again, Spain people are so friendly:> With a bit of my really broken Spanish with lots of sign language, we manage to take a bus n stop right where we wanted:> N the handsome bus driver kindly pointed us the place that we wanted to go:> So nice!! Malaga people are so much nicer than barcelona's:>

Found our hostel rather easily- Picasso Back packer inn!! Best hostel that i ever been- in facility wise. name was written on the board outside the hostel- feel so welcome instantly.. the they got super nice bath room!! Each floor they got a nice big bath room with bath tab n toilet. N another shower room with 2 super jet shower cubicles!!!! WOW!! I cant imagine i tried this the first time- in a hostel!!!! N there is a FM turner in the shower, u can listen to the hot sexy spain music n shower at the same time, if u want u can peep into the other shower see if there is a cute guy showering!! Huahua!!!!!!!!!But I only saw Liying:-s
We stay in a four beds mix dorm..N all the beds are equip with those super fluffy dawn Duvets!!!What else u can ask for?? All i get from previous hostel was love bite from the bed bugs!!!
But will be much better if we could have a room at the back, cos our room is super noisy, the night club outside was blasting the whole nite till 4 am..N if u are lucky like us- U got to share a room with a cute Brat pitt looking guy, with super cute Belfast accent--- hooked up a female traveller--- n make out beside u whole nite ..sweat!!!
We both agreed that thats our worse nite ever, basically we din sleep at all.. on top of that i have to control my movement n i cant cough as i wish cos i dun wanna disturb that two animals:>

But that doesn't affect our mood at all, was a juicy topic for us to talk about:> anyway, we spend our first day just walking around the old town, visited the historical Alcazaba. We din really bother about what we saw or where we went..basically we just chill n relax n took lots n lots of outrages photos:> Bull ring is something new to us, looking at the bull fighter waving their flag n practising the move, make us wanna follow suit:>did u see my bull?? haha..

The next morning after breakfast, we are out to the seaside again!! Malaga seaside is such a nice place tobe during the weekend..not much tourist, n all the local took their family out, have a nice BBQ seafood by the seaside!! Ahh..life..what else do u want??

N honestly, i cant think of any other holiday that i feel so so so relax!!! We dun care about what was written on the travel guide, we just follow our heart n chill out- mostly by the seaside..n i just realised, i have not been to sea side for so long !!!!!!! I MISS SEASIDE!!!!
N just before we r leaving for airport in the evening, ther is a pub beside infront of the hostel having an opening ceremony, they had drum n music n crazy bunch of chick jumping n shaking their body, i was videoing the event n they just drag me into the crowd to dance with them:> fun people!!! Will try to take some time to upload the video:>

another day gone by!!! But is a productive day for me. woke up early fetch Wati from airport!! YES!! N just finish watching this urban legend, belief it or not, it was showing about this real case of a old lady going to the toilet on the cruise, she flushed the toilet while still sitting on it, n guess wat !! her small intestine got sucked out together!!

The Crazy world of Antoni Gaudi- part2

At last, I am back to work:> will be slightly busier during the next roster, got a nice offer to Denmark but i have to turn it down COS I GOT NO MORE DAY OFF!!!!!!!! ARGH!!!!!!!!!
Well, i guess i have enuf holidays for this year, is time to sit tight at home n study hard!!!
Some times work with stupid people just make my blood boil..cant help it, if a person dun even know how to deal with a simple phone call, i dun know how that person can even think of wanted to become our in charge. But u nv know..

Anyway..
WELCOME TO THE WITCH CASTLE!!!

Haha!! Lots of people might get offended, After all, Segrada Familia is the most famous church in Spain..but u cant blame me for that, art is very subjective:>

I dun really like the exterior of the temple, all black n weird statue,not quite appealing, not as a church anyway.. if only Gaudi can put some colors like his candy house that will be nice:> But the interior of the building is quite impressive, n is still under construction ( again..wats new in spain:>)
I particularly like the beautiful tinted window n the sun flower design ceiling:>
We queued for almost an hour just to take the lift to the roof top, n we only stay there for less than 30 mins:> nice view but very limited space to move around.

after that we make our way to park Quell..Park designed by Antoni Gaudi for his favorite friend. It was a really long uphill walk, lucky thanks to the outdoor escalator again:>

It save us lots of energy:>

Full of cactus tree n flowers n rocks n things. N there was an old amigo took interest on us n start dragging us round n wanted to show us the best of spain::> the thong with spain people is they dun care whether u understand spanish or not they will just continue talk n talk in spanish to u:> so this friendly old man was really friendly with us n i can only understand "magnifico"
(magnificent) n " bonito"-( pretty) haha!! but it took us a bit of effort to shake him off, tot he was being so friendly n we dun really want to hurt his feeling u see:>

anyway, we walk down hill towards the main market hall, again i have to bow my head to this great Architect cum artist..

41 bloody hours!! And that is more than one week roster!!

Where the hell was all that come from??? I am on top of the list now:> haha!!!They said cos i was on too many holidays but hei!!!! I used my own Annual leave to go on holiday ok!!! its mainly becos i was only put to work for 52 hours instead of 75 for two weeks on the coming christmas Bank holidays roster..N thats not even my fault!!

Last day in Barcelona, we decided to indulge ourself in the world of The Greatest Antoni Gaudi.. I never been t o a house that have got no angle at all..every thing is round n asymmetrical..after 15 minutes inside, i was actually feeling slightly giddy, like having seasick.

Apparently most of his design was inspired by the elements of nature. And the color he used is rich n bright n full of fantasy.. feel as if u walk right into a candy house..

Another crime evil fiction..I know i should have spend more time on my study instead, but i was so hooked that i cant stop reading it:>
Anyway, another weekend. Enjoyed a bright chilly sunny morning in the comfort of my duvet reading the book:> Good start.
Then I thought i should properly update my blog before i settled myself in another book that i ought a while ago:>

There were so many places to visit in Barcelona, we dun even know where to start, n which one to go first..
Parc de Montjuic and nearby attraction was our day 2 program. And on the very day, my beloved 2 pounds Primark sandals decided to die on my half way of our journey:< N we have to go back all the way to the hostel to get my shoes changed. Annoying:<

Anyway, we reached to the park about mid morning. n we toke a cable car up to the hill..

From the mountain top we can see the whole barcelona city center n the sea port..

after we had enough of the view and enough photos taking, we make our way down to the olympic stadium n national museum..

This is the first time i saw a country actually have an outdoor escalator in their tourist attraction..amazing..

the whole area is much bigger than we thought

and despite of the hungriness, we still got time to play with all the games n stuff in the park before we headed for the stadium..

And I dun know what to think about the stadium when i see it, other than Olympic game used to happen there on the same very stadium, hundred of world class sportsmen n women used to stand on the very ground..other than that, it just look like any other sport stadium to me..
And there are still lots of construction going on round the places..well, Spain is full of construction work..Where ever u go..just imagine when all the construction work has finished in the future..how good the country will look:> Hope i will live long enuf to see it :>

Spain Spain Spain...I miss Spain..great sunshine, good food, nice people, cheap shopping...lots more..
We spend three days in Barcelona, then we took a night train to Malaga, stay for another night n we headed back to London..
First day in spain, we din do much, walk around the places..Barri Ghotic, La Rambla..beautiful..

Came across this market tha selling almost everything that you can imagine. Mediterranean country has most amazing selection of food:> I LOVE WET MARKET!!!!!!!!

Then we also spend lots of time cam whoring!! Ha ha..I tot i loved to take photos, people, wait till u met LIYING, she is unbeatable..hahaha!!!! Our fav line of the trip has become- "nice? is ok, i can take again n again n agian!!" wahaha..but we did take lots of nice photos:>

I actually forgot most of the places name..there are so much to see, walk all the way from our hostel to Plaze catalunya, to La Rambla, to the sea port.weather was amazingly good. mid October n it was 18 degree. NICE!!
Well, I am not gonna write more about my first day, main purpose is to post our nice photos:> haha
Let u guys admire my sweet face till u feel sick.. haha..

Coming to end of the year soo, christmas coming soon!!! OMG!! Can i stop the clock some where?
So many thing to do but so little time.

Atlast, I am back to school again.. goal achieving..good news..but i have to give up spanish for now, not that got to do with the school, but is my holiday...YES!!! I will be on holiday again!!! Liying will be here in ten days time..n we will be off to spain!!!! HOORAY!!! Hopefully all the Spanish that i have learned will come into use..haha. Well, i wont say i have give up spanish, just that have to find time that will fit into my schedule. I have not talk about the class alot, it was really good!! Learning a new language is always fun n interesting, n i just find it so cool when i was able to picked up some meaning of the words from others!!! still a long way to go, but i wont give it up!!

Went to this smmall seafood shop on our last day in iceland, famous for lobster soup!! Super good, taste a bit like curry, they put coconut milk in it..is kinda funny tasting coconut milk in Iceland dish, the place is too cold to associate with coconut:> Also thought lobster will taste rubbery, but again i was wrong, it is super soft n fresh!!Yummy:>

Summer is going tobe over soon..did we actually had summer?? As day going shorter, the depressing season is slowly crawling towards us..damn..will be back to the dark age where will wake up in the dark, go to work, n come back home in the dark..damn!! Four season!!
Haven even bought my bicycle yet!!!

ok..another iceland update..Horse riding!!!!!!

Iceland's famous Icelandic horses..there are lots of farm operating riding tour..we picked up by the farm owner form the guest house..about 30 mins drive from town..there were about 20 other tourists there when we arrived..then we went on searching for helmet that fits us..

the farm people were busying fixing our horses, they allocate us to he horse according to our experience..funny at the end of the day, we all think that our horse actually share some of our own character:>

is kinda difficult when whole group of people riding together, some times the horses will all gather n jam together..n we dun know how to control the movement of the horse, so most of the time the direction of the horse is depends on the leading person..is really nice when u are stuck in the middle of the horses...there was this neighboring horse think that my leg is some tree trunk or something n start rubbing/ mopping its mouth on my knee..eeeewww....all the saliva n green mucous stuff..

it get more exciting when the lady from the back shouted - HOP HOP!!! and all our horses started hopping and broke in to small run..All at the same time !!!! then u can hear all the shout n cried cos our leg was banging with each other n be hit by the metal foot hold n at the same time we were trying to hold on n maintain our position, while our asses being bang against the horse back till the horses stopped..FUN

we ride around the hill n farm land n rivers..the we get to rest for like 15 mins before we continue again..this is my horse:> active little horse who loved to eat:>

n they are such a gentle animal:> well, except the one who thought my leg was a tree trunk:>
someone got a white horse over there:> the only one in the group..Iceland horse are not as big as others, bigger than pony but smaller than other European horses..

good fun, i really would try horse riding again if i got the chance..but then after that all of us have to carry our painful asses n leg n shoulder around for the next three days..No regret:>

The Blue Lagoon

one week after my trip, feel like ages ago, all ready for another one:>
Anyway, my week has been fine, busy bank holiday, will be on nite tomorrow..things are looking good, keep my finger crossed!!

OK, Iceland update!! We spend half a day whale watching, n the rest of the afternoon soaking our cool asses in the hot spring:>
Blue lagoon is iceland must go attraction. It is a superb five star geothermal hot spring lagoon. The couch drove us thru miles n miles of lava land, n suddenly out of no way, hot smoke n steam all around..

and we arrived the famous Blue Lagoon!!!

entrance cost us isk 1700..can rent towel if u din bring..

we were so excited..everything is so new in there..n icelander are so clean, all the tourist have to wash themself without any swim wear before u can go into the pool..

ofcos u dun wash infront of everyone, u do it in the toilet:> there is an active volcano hot spring in the middle of the pool..at time u will feel a sudden gush of boiling hot water run over u..HOT HOT HOT!!!!

tempreture of that day is about 10, 11 degree..so once u get urself wet, u have to jump fast into the pool to keep urself warm..n belief me, the water is so warm n nice, u wont feel like coming out:> The water taste salty ..even saltier than the sea water..

the other famous thing about the lagoon is the volcano salt mud, supposed to be good for our face..there are few mud stations, for people to apply as much as they want..

well, i dun know how good it is, but after this, my face got a major break out!! fangfeng say is normal, that means the toxin is clearing:>
other than soaking Ourself whole day in there, there is also a special sauna room, can steam all u want. and for better service, pay extra for the Lagoon massage..we din try that..
We were in the pool for good 3 hours, steamed our self for a little while..n we get changed n had some refreshment..then we outed to explore the nearby area..

all i can say is this place is beautiful!!!I do not understand y is the water so blue, n is so clear at the same time..they were saying is the mineral content of the water.

Also blue lagoon have their own body n face care product, made in iceland..suppose tobe really good:> But things that make in Iceland are so expensive!!!N u always thought that no place is gonna be more expensive than london, so wrong..

at last, we roamed around till 7pm, catched the last bus backed to our hostel..N NO!!!!! WE REALLY DUN FEEL LIKE LEAVING!!!

the yummy whale

A hungry evening in iceland, we were out looking for food..n we saw a BBQ stall selling sumthing looks yummy:>

MINKE WHALE!!! wah!! I was watching in interest, before i knew it, Fang Feng was already queuing in line:>
" But we are not suppose to eat extinct animal!! "I said..." But can I have a bite?"
Haha!! I am such a lier!! I love animal but i will never say no to yummy food especially something new..

whale meat looks so much like beef..
not only looks like one, it taste like one too!!! They make it medium rare, raw n juicy inside..i was expecting something like tuna or bit fishy..to my surprise, not at all!!!! we were like eating a piece of BBQ steak!!
And we were like" funny hor!!! it doesnt taste like fish at all!!!how come huh?"

Then the day after, we went whale watching( after the yummy meat, I must see them in my own eye:>)also puffin searching..

puffin season is almost over, so there is not much puffin left on the island. and our boat was abit far from the island, so i cant really see clearly..
we saw some restaurant selling puffin meat..but puffin doesn't looks/sounds like a eatable thing to me..n i read from book that they taste like calf liver!!eeeeee....Lucky we din try:>

anyway, is kinda fun going out to the sea to watch some puffin bird n whale..
the guide will shout:" 3 oclock, 3 oclock, look at the beautiful humpback..." and everyone will rush to the 3 oclock direction, n there the amazing whale, surfaced for the first time, second time, third time, four time, and the the fifth time, it will show its tail n went for a deeper dive, for good few minutes before it surface again..

But taking photos for whale is worse than Geysir..u will never know where n when there r gonna surfaced..u have to stand by spare camera's batteries..
but we were quite lucky ..we were expecting to see minke whales, cos it's the most common species around iceland, but instead we came across a few Humpback whale..

Guess all the minke whale was BBQed by icelander already..haha..

Then day after Fang Feng remember what the tour guide told us-

WHALE IS NOT A FISH!!!! WHALE IS A MAMMAL!!!

Hei!! We are not stupid ok!!!Everyone knew that whale is a mammal:> Biggest mammal in the world!!!

But the fact that it lives in the sea, I still cant help thinking that it is a fish( a mammal fish haha..)

AND THATS EXPLAIN Y THE WHALE MEAT TASTE LIKE BEEF!!!! BECOS THEY R NOT FISH!!!!!!

The Golden Circle

Day 2 in Iceland, we went for a day tour..Iceland got plenty of travel agency organise different day tours n activities..I find it is a good way to seen enjoy the place, ofcos will be even better if u drive, if not, day tour is the answer..The Golden Circle is one of the must see tour in Iceland.

We started from the city center around 9 am, we got a full coach, n a tour guide.
As usual, lots of good scenery along the way, n our first stop is Hverageroi Greenhouse village, well, is just a green house with lots of banana n plam trees:> warm n humid inside, like home:>
Then we proceed to this Volcanic crater-Kerio, this place is beautiful, the water is crystal clear, too bad is just a photo stop for us, no chance to walk down n do abit of exploring...

After the crater, they brought us to this wonderous waterfall-Gullfoss When we reached there, someone pointed far side of the sky, where the mountain n the cloud seems to be merging together n told me -hei!! look!! Glacier!!
I was like- huh? u sure? I think is just cloud..
till now, i still think that is just cloud:>
Gullfoss is a waterfall located on the White River (Hvítá) in south central Iceland. Its name means the Golden Falls. The flow of the river from the regular rains and the glacial runoff, particularly in summer, makes Gullfoss the largest volume falls in Europe.

Also, is one of the natural wonder of the world!!! looks like the water just flow in to the earth n disappeared..

those thundering noise ... we can barely hear each other ..

When u go near, u can see the water rush into the White river n created lots of mist..
too bad, no rainbow:-I
and all of us get the cold splashes from the water..
and talk about water..
Iceland got the most interesting hot water supply, first day when we arrived, i thought the water smell kinda rotten, i blamed it to the guest house system, then i realized, they use hot spring water as hot water supply, they smell of sulfur..n their cold water is the fresh spring water:> u can drink all u want:> better than Avian:>

anywhere, after the stunning waterfall, we went on to see geyser. Iceland is full of geothermal field, infact iceland is not the land of ice n land, instead is the land of fire n ice..n this is a hot water fountain that spouting out form the earth every two minutes..

the sight is unbelievable, every one is waiting there keeping the camera on ,i have to wait for a few time just to get this photo..n dun even think about wanted to get a picture with it, u have to be damn patience cos u wont know when is the next time.n the water jet only last for seconds..

then it will gone down to smoke

After all the water n smoke, our last stop is the no man land- only woman..haha...
becos the north american n europian cant decide this piece of land is belongs to who...

Pingvellir national park

apparently is the oldest parliment house in the country..

n this is out tour guide..funny old man, telling joke without laughing himself..

well, i am not a big fan of politic n histories, the park itself has more than that to offer..nice formation of rocks n rivers..

not this one, the tour guide told us this river is channel down form the mountain by the vikings..amazing strong vikings people..

and this one is a wonder work of nature, imagine just 9000 years ago, this valley n the platform that i was standing is actually same height..ah..ICELAND!! most amazing land that i ever been..u guys must list it down, as a must visit place in ur life..place full of wondrous views n , n the place is so clean n not polluted..

the whole day tour cos us isk 7000..about GBP 65-70..is u drive urself u can get a car about
isk 9000 for a day, n u can share among ur friends, cheaper :>

The land of Ice n land

I am backed from my holiday!!!

At last, we are on the flight to our dream land, has been thinking about it for days n at last, here we are- ICELAND!!!! The youngest country in the continent..
We fly on 17 aug noon time from heathrow, reached Rekyjavik- Iceland capital around 3 pm..

Prior to the landing, only can see miles n miles of rocks n lave field and hot steam coming out form the ground, later i learned that the blue pool that i saw from the sky is actually the famous blue lagoon.

First impression of iceland, other than the lonely emptiness, they are super clean, hardly see any thrash on the road or path way, square n sharp building, and lots of beautiful art pieces ..this maybe the smallest airport that i have seen, but it is very impressive..

airport fly bus drove us thru miles of lave field, n send us to the city center, which is about 45 minutes away..funny thing is we are only 3 hours away from london, but i dun feel that i was any where near europe.. building design is so modern n people are so nice, they speak canadian/ US english with wicked sense of humour..u will never eperience this in any other europe country..but be fair, they r the youngest n newest country, n under heavy influence of north america.

the town center is not really big, one long shopping street, again, clean n nice, every thing slow n cool..

people like to visit iceland during summer time, city of day light, u will even get 24 hours sun light during certain month..we were not so lucky, sun rise about 5 am in the morning, n set around 1030 pm in the night..is good enuf fro us..n we get most of the sun light till our last day, i was raining non stop till we fly back to london.

First we visited
the city most attention seeking building/ church- hallgrimskirkla..it took 34 years to complete..everything look so nice under a clear blue sky, every one can snap a perfect post card standard photo out of it..
also we walked along the coast site n visit this again stunning interesting sculpture-Solfario..i called the Skeleton:> when we took this photos, is already 9pm , look at the sun shine!!!The weather is not as cold as i thought , about 10- 15 degree evry nite, lower in the night time, but is not so windy compare to london..

looking for a accommodation in this place is painful, not that is difficult, but is the price that killing us..so happen that we hit their culture week, most of the cheap accommodation was fully book..n this is the cheaest that i can find for our weekend..dorm bed, share wirh 20 other travellers, n cost us good 32 pounds/person/night

again, Iceland is one of the most expensive place in the world..u can do anything u want, from Glacier climbing to whale watching..all u need is money n time !!!

I have spend about GBP800 for the whole trip..the trick is to book the ticket earlier, as in few months earlier..n u can get cheap ticket..we book it quite late, n it cost us about GBP320 . Look for the cheapest accommodation, so far the cheapest that i have come a cross is GBP28 /p/n( four in a room). A single room can easily cost u GBP35-50/ nite..And n if u want anything cheaper than 25 pounds, u have to pack ur own sleeping bag:> Anything less than 15 pounds, pack ur own tent:>
Breakfast normally included, try to look for a guess house that have guest kitchen..n bring ur on maggie mee/ snack, will save u lots of money..
Anyhoo...no regret, definitely the best place that i ever been..more post n stories to come:>

Really looking forward to this..but also mean there will be a big hole burned in my pocket..this will be my most expensive holiday ever, i think properly more expensive than going home..well, once in a life time..

Once again, best night ever..first time witness massive haemorrhage secondary to a chest drain assault..
The SPR was on top of his lung- scalpel!!!Drape!! hurry up!!!! I want to open the chest now!!!!
within minutes everything is in place..when the chest was open, the heart n lung were practically swimming in a bloody pool and soon will be over flowing!!!
We spend more than 1 hours working really hard..every one was running around..surgeons shouting...three of us squeezing bloods..3 suction machines working together..but waht ever squeezed in ended up in the suction bottle rather quickly..
At the end of the whole thing, we found ourselves standing in the middle of bloody floor..with blood stains over our uniforms n hands..and I was sweating n my hands was trembling due to all the squeezing n my heart was pumping due to all the adrenaline rush.
I loved my ever BLOODY job!!! SHIOK!!!

i promised myself a quiet walk on my birthday..thinking of peak district n other places..but the weather was so unpredictable n i was too tired after those continuous walk n exercise..i figure i need some proper rest..n now that age catching up..haha!!! anyway, after a good night out with wati n friends on the 13th..the next day we decided to visit wati's boy friend- Nathan place..i shall call it the NOTHING LAND...huahuhaaaaaa..I am just kidding NAthan..i loved the place..

we visited NATHAN's family, then we went round the place n walk thru the farm lands..
I was kinda hopeful to see lots of animals, but instaed i saw lots of nice flowers..but we did manage to see a couple of horses around..

life has been kind to me so far..my 30 years of life been relatively easy, compare to lots of others...maybe lots of mistakes n wrong decision has been make along the way, things may has been prioritized wrongly..but if i have the choice one more time, i think i will still choose to do lots of things the same way...
Just like I never regret walk right into your life , i was happy..as much as i din regret walk away from u when i have to .. n left piece of my heart behind..I know there will be time that I can collect it again n patch it back ..but mean while, let it be..

i was sleeping having nice dream , Sandy called me at 0845hours..Wong, wake u up now!!! i know i promised her a walk today, but i say i will call her when i wake up..not the other way round:> anyway, i was only given 5 mins to get ready, grabbed my camera..n off we went on for our morning walk..

we walked towards Chiswick, crossed Hammersmith bridge to the other side of the river n make a round backed from the Barnes bridge..

i was still having my sleepy puffy eye during the walk, i had whole day shopping with wati at central London yesterday, n went for another 3 whole hours ice skating session with sandy in the evening, reached home around 11pm, n i finished the dvd Pan's Labyrinth..slept at 2 am, woken up at 845am!!!!!! and here i am ..walking by my fav river!!!It wasnt too bad actually..great walk..

Been a busy long week, AGAIN!! but manage to get a off yesterday n off for shopping!!! Yeah!! Sales is on again, lots of good bargains around!! Thought i have worked so hard, time to give myself a treat:>

Work has been really busy, almost everyone is on filter, damn!! And gossips n politics are getting worse then ever...Oh well, ofcoz not with me, but is hard when people want u to take side..AND I DUN LIKE TAKING SIDE!!!! why cant people just cant communicate and try to be more tolerating with each other? Human..god dun give u a mouth just to eat n vomit, u should also use it to talk to each other, god dun give u a heart just to pump blood around ur body, u should also use it to feel for each other as well!!! Easier to say than done..some people still will choose to be a looser n run away form all this, including me..hahaha..

Been to walk again, guess will do it even more often, one of my friend been having some health problem, need more exercise to keep herself fit!! thought will do it together, will be more fun!!
Forecast saying there will be more severe weather coming on the way, hope it will only last for a while, i wanna have a really nice walk on my birthday!!!! Please!!!

Also hopefully wont be too far away from my bicycle, LCD and maybe sewing machine?? haha,, work harder!!

Supposed to have a study day yesterday, but it was canceled last minutes, thats mean i get to go to my ice skating early:> Was our third time from the start, and i think we have improved again:> I can go round n round now without stopping, and control my direction and avoid not to bum into people..and o FALL!!!! Still very much at the beginner learning phase, but i am very please, aim from the start is just to be able to go round the rink anyway..haha.. way to go!! We ended up have another dinner at four season, ended our day shopping and walk our way home all the way from shepherd bush..good day..
Now left the dilemma of where to go or what to do for my big day:> to find something that accommodate everyone schedule can be hard, will see how.

I am the night walker

Another week, was a 50 hours week for me..5 nights in a roll!!! I am such a night animal.. But i must admit that has not been bad at all, patient are mostly stable:>and i have to start working again tomorrow!! But next week will be a better week, hopefully can find some times to practice my ice skating and even trying out the new rock wall that i found..

Spanish is the thing!!! Class will start in mid July, no particular reason, just thought that it sounds kinda fun and sexy..haha..lame.

Weigh my self last night, 44kg!! Damn, i want my 900 grams back!!!!! Been looking for a weight gaining regime on the net during the week, so far, The golden rules is must have extra 500 calories on top of my normal diet daily..and try to eat like 6 frequent meals / day and have to do excersice regularly..Where do i find the time?

Now buying food becoming a challenge, i have to look at the labels at all time, lots of red meat and protein.. hmmm.. So far, I had two days of full breakfast - a bagel with two pcs of smoke salmon and salad, smear with cheese spread, a bowl of cereal with 300 mls of whole milk, and one banana. due to my sleeping requirement , i only woke up like 5 pm to have my usual dinner, drink another 300 mls of whole milk before i left to work, and bought a mc donald burger on the way for my supper. On top of that bought some mix nuts to chew thru out my night..come to think of it, this is almost my normal diet when on night, the only xtra thing is the cereal, n milk, banana and the mc donald.

To gain weight and to loss weight is the same- is an obsession and long term battle n need hell lot of determinations..dammit, what wrong with being fashionably slim after all?? May be i am being impatience that i cant see a instant result,and i dun like the idea of eat because u need to eat.. maybe i should try the fastest fat gaining regime instead, mc donlad super meal tds..hahaha..I might survive the boredom of food but not the heart attack..lolzzz

Been a busy long week, feel like i was in the ward most of the time, indulged myself in all the adrenaline rush n gossips n wong fei hong's kong fu kick n so on..n changed a shift with a friend turned out to be a mistake- busy busy busy...i was so exhausted, as a result i have to give up a week end shift which properly will cost me a LCD tv!!!!!Darn!!

But i did manage to make full use of my Sunday off, i went for my long missed morning walk by the Thames, great sun shine, high tide, 1 hour of brisk walking set me straight for the rest of the day, hopefully will last till the end of the week:> after the walk, had my lunch , n went to high street for a walk, came back, cooked a big pot of Yong Tau Fu, spend the rest of my night watching tv n contemplating- French or Spanish??French or Spanish??French or Spanish??

Received a good news n not so good news from home, my baby sister passed her driving exam!!Haha!! one more person to drive me round when i go home:> My poor mummy had diarrhea for fews days till she have to go to hospital for IV infusion, but is all good now:>

Admitted a priest/father currently,interestingly, not only he is a holy father, also he is a alcoholic, heavy smoker, he used the "bloody " word, n he was super rude!! got him for a night, not too bad, i thought we went on rather well, no drama:>And i was rather please with myself, no kidding!! so, i was at the next bed the night b4 he transfered, my friend was away, n suddenly our father turned round n smiled at me- "come, give me a kiss so that i will always remember you!" I looked at our holy father, not quite know how to response, kiss him? I thought he should bless me on my head, keep me in his prayer all the time. While i was still stunt n thinking what to do next, he grab my hand n kissed it...hmmm...guessed i will be blessed till the end of the world huh??

And so suddenly i remembered, long ago we had a Egyptian monk, black robe, cross on the chest, rather holy looking, all the way from Egypt , live in the monastery since he was young, nv been exposed to the western world, it must be quite a trip for him.
First he tried to kiss my NZ colleague on her lips, "i just wanna say thank you"- he claimed. middle of the night, observation time,2 am, tv is still on in the room, wow, he was watching Basic instinct!! Things just got better, our monk started to press call bell very often, when we attended to him, he said- stomach pain, then ask us to uncovered his blanket n examine him, when we uncovered his blanket, his hospital gown was lifted up all the way till his chest, his pathetic private was well exposed to every one. N he can try the same trick few times a day..WTH??N ofcos, he was the hottest topic in town, we always eager to hear is there anymore funny trick from him..
" BUT He is suppose to be a monk" i said, my friend just laught,"haha.. no, he is just a Monkey"

Now i think of it, I feel rather sad for the monk, imagine u lived in the monastery for the past 80 years in ur life, n maybe not by ur own choice, what would u have to do with urself n all the sudden flock of temptation? I think even a monkey will lose it!!
In comparison, Shame on the priest, he should know better, call himself holy servant..*puke*

Sometimes, a bad wind blows..today is one of those day, not particularly busy, but has been a emotionally draining day for everyone...bad things always come in three, but three in one day is just too much to bear..one brain dead waiting to be extubate, two gone on the table, how sad, to make it worse, we were waving goodbye n he said will come back for his cup of tea.. whole place was swarmed with tired n drained looking Surgeons, in charge spending whole afternoon comforting relative, not an easy day for every one....had a real bad headache now, n i have to endure the agony of cant watch my Heroes cos i am so tired..but i do want to finish my James Patterson- the 5th horseman, few more chapters n i can rest in peace, high chance that they will cancel my shift tomorrow, then i can aim to finish the remaining 13 episodes..can i????

Has been back to work after two days off...got a new staff working with me, initially i was told just for three shift, n now is for two weeks!!!!!!!!!! And after that i will have another student with me on the coming roster!!!HELP!!!!I have not been having to teach people for very long , honestly, i dun fancy teaching new staff very much..( haha.. all my juniors r gonna kill me :> ) it get worse if i got some one slow n cant focus on wat they r doing!!! Cos i am the typical "A type" person when come to work.. And today i was told that i have to keep him with me for two weeks then he will be on his own..hallo!!!! if he turn out to be s*** will that be my fault???? I am not even his preceptor, And i am supposed to be one of the least experience staff in the unit!!!ArGH!!! Will take sometime before i get use to it again, n i gotto have to start reading again before i look too stupid in front of them!! And after today i feel like vomit blood!!! I know, I am sorry, i know i used to be one of those that make people like Wati n Rose vomit blood, n i know he will pick up very fast* cross my finger, pray hard hard* but, i just cant help myself moaning:>

Coming to the end of the week, has been a busy but inspiring week..despited the heavy work load, i managed to find time to have some good heart to heart talk with few good friends...n in the mist of very thing, the long gone light bulb in my head come to life n brighten up again..

God knows since when i have lost my own vision in life, shutting my real self from others, developed lots of insecurities in myself n life, n has not been honest with myself clouded my eyes n judgment on so many things. And all those meaningful conversations over the week make me think n reflect..is time for changes--Is time to be more in tune with my own heart n brain, be honest with myself, things that not meant to be should just let it go, stop acting on impulses, learn to express my real feeling, and be more comfortable with my own skin..

New vision n goals has been set,the path does instantly looks straighter n clearer:>
after all, the cracking egg that i dreamed of is not misfortune after all, is just meant that i am coming out from my own hard shell:>

Isle of wight

I cant remember how did we decide to go to Isle of wight, only heard from few people that the place is beautiful n easy to go round, since our friends nv been here, thought why not bring them to a island n let them see the real England's beautiful landscape, but it was raining through out the whole stay..well, good for them as well, not only experience the land scape, also the weather..haha..

Sand down beach, suppose to be really nice during summer, is beautiful, will be nicer if it wasnt raining:>

we took the island bus to go round the places, really convenient.. whole day bus ticket for all public buses costs 10 pounds / person. kinda expensive..meant for tourist i supposed..we only visited a castle n the famous needle old battery..

when we reached the Needle, we r supposed to take this chair lift..

but because on the day we arrived, the wind speed was 30mph..chair lift not in operation..so we have to climb the cliff to get there..

From walking point of view, i din really enjoy that much, cos was too windy , have to watch out for my hat for not being blown off, n it was raining slightly..but cos we had such a nice company, it odesnt really matter anymore la:>

and there r some serious bikers cycled all the way to the edge of the cliff despited the strong wind...

My broadband company send me an email two days ago, and when i opened my letter box today, i received a same letter thats says..

NOW, this is what i call good customers service ok....bloody HTS , can u people please learn from this? U guys nv notify for any services break down, the internet access speed is forever so slow.. we nv get our email replied..n it takes us ages to get out line cancel, requests were forever put on hold, when i wanted to speak to ur manager, ur bloody manager is forever on leaves..n u still charged us even though we cancel the line ..hallo!!!!!!!! u guys promise will refund the charges, from last year JUNE!!!!!!i din see a single penny... 1. long time favourite- nandos, i know KL got nandos as well, but trust me, this different, the way they grill the chicken , super yummy n tender..

2.A malaysian restaurant at china town, i can't remember the name..haha..i loved the salted fish fried rice..

3. CHOP CHOP noodle bar, ok la, this one is not my favourite, just becos is convenient n cheap. haha..

4. this one is my favourite of all,my personal restaurant..when ever i want to eat, i will go there, a small kitchen at Hammersmith, Golding house 14th floor .. served home cooked meal , famous dishes from soup , sweet n sour chicken, steam fish, bake chicken to fish pie..only thing is i have to cook myslef..haha..

First day backed to work after my two weeks holiday, n turned out to be a crap shift!!!!! started with i have three patients, then by mid night i have to transfer one out to get another ill one in, 15 mins after came in, struggle to get lines n tubes in, n he collapsed!!! Open chest stat, bleeding non stop!!!send to theater at 3 am, n backed at 6 am to me, ventilated..at the end of the shift i got 2 + 1 tubed..how crap was that!!! Has not been having this for some times..lucky on with a good team, every one was helping a lot...dun tell me the cycle has started again..please dun..

Too many thing to blog about, dun even know where to start..

Finally, the day that i have been dreading for..they left..on the way flying back to singapore..
Has been great having them around, may be i shouldn't make this as a travel blog, cos for me, this two weeks is not only about travelling n seeing places, is also about spending time together, just like old time what we did in singapore..

this whole two weeks, is about how we enjoyed ourselves at piccadilly circus..

also how we managed to gather almost everyone who used to work in singapore together before,had a great evening talking, singing n catching up with each other life..

Also finally i get to meet my twin sister again!!YES!! I HAVE A TWIN SISTER AFTER ALL!!!Mary Jane is the only person that i met so far, who was born on the same year same month n same date with me..

Is not about how much we have walked, is about how we shared a fall together at the middle of Leister Square n still managed to laugh our head off..

And still can pose like a pro after that..

is about how we "enjoyed "each other company while waiting for the ferry to isle of wight

And how we managed to amuse ourselves even though was raining..

Is not about how many prostitutes we have seen, is about how we got lost together..

And managed to find where we want to go..

And also how everyone being in-patience with me while i was trying my very best to fly to the position so that the perfect photo can be taken:>

doesnt matter how long we have waited for the guard exchanged n get running nose due to the excess pollen, we still have fun after that..

is not about how long we din see with each other,is about finally me n tini is on trip together again!!! My travel buddy in singapore till i left to london..

Is not about how many times we been to natural science museum, is about how we get scared by the dinosaur TOGETHER..

Also about watching We will Rock You together on the last night, stamping our feet, clapping our hands n shaking our head together till we were super high in Tottenham court road theater..

I shall stop before i go on n on about it..able to spend time together with u guys in london is amazing..miss u all:>

Been to Isle of Wight for the past three days, sad to say there was almost no sunshine at all for the whole trip, but we still enjoyed each other company:>

just a few pictures from the red light district, we went out during the night for our litte adventure, but we did not hang around too long cos as the night went darker, the atmosphere get a bit strange and dodgy, so we quickly snap a few pictures n went back to our hotel..nothing much to see, cos it was taken from the other side of the canal, wat to do, i am such a chicken..haha.

Amsterdam!!!!
Canal, boat house, prostitutes, red light district, strip show, sex shops, weeds, drug, coffee house...thats my impression of the place:> Very interesting..
we arrived there around 2pm, after settled everything, we cant wait to go out for our little adventure..as we walk along the street, our eye was getting bigger n bigger..not long till we started laughing n giggling along the way, as we amazed by the Dutch's openness in everything, i think they properly they were amused by our kejakunan as well..haha.. sex shops like this is everywhere...was amused by the first few, but after sometime we just get so used to it..

drugs in amsteram, katini was thinking should she try or not..hahahaaa...

We walked around the place to see see look look..n we found this alley..then we realised indeed we were staying in the middle of the red light district..haha.

prostitutes working behind the curtain..some of them doesn't look very appealing to me, but the way they approach their profession is really something...too shy to take their photos while they r posing, but i did took some of them during the night, all i can say is, night time is much more interesting than this:>

Then we ended up in DAM square, nice little square just like any other europe country, but somehow i find Amsterdam people are much more friendly n polite..n their police are very helpful too..

We end our day by having a canal cruise tour, one hour of boat ride along the canal and river is refreshing, we get to see those beautiful boat houses n nice canals.

After the cruise, we headed back to our hotel, ended the night watching the football game, i am not a big fan of football, but was kinda fun to watch with all the ANTI- MAN U people n try to go against them once in a while..oh well, at least it was fun until they threaten to torture me with the electric boiling rod..hahaha..loser..
there goes our day one...more to come..

the crazy peeps are in town-part two

Ok..i have to quickly upload some photos before it get builds up n before i get to lazy to blog about it..
day one in london----well, normal tourist place, we started with Trafalga square..and then to buckingham palace to see the famous guard exchange

That bunch of crazy tourist can't for the ceremony

They waited for quite long and started to get a bit restless,started climbing about and drew attention of the police

And they waited for about 45mins and thats all they saw

Suay betul..they got a short ceremony day..hahahaa..
so they decided to just start snapping pictures around
And after lunch the freaking tour short tour guide left the tourists to go on the London eye
So they enjoyed the London eye with the exception of Kartini ( she was expecting a jerky eye ) and they ended the day with shoppingAt the end of the day,i bought an over sized bumble bee shades...cool huh?

On day two those freaking tourists( lead by the freaking tour guide thats me) went to visit Queen of England at Winsor castle.We dumped them in the castle to look for the Queen herself while we went on shopping.
After the visit we went to the Eton river side to have our lunch and abuse the birds(only jo does that)

After that we on a quest to look for Prince william school,Eton college which was suppose to be by the end of the road

Instead of Eton college,we found this dodgy school..haha..

We did find Eton college but there's nothing worth mentioning or seeing so we headed back to London
Amsterdam tommorrow.yeah....

Finally, after hours of waiting, they are here :>
by the time they arrived to my flat is already 6.30 pm..so- no london eye, we had a quick dinner,, and headed for river side instead, too bad is low tide, not much to see..but still, we had great time- posing!!! hahaha..tomorrow, real journey will start........wahahahaaa..

Two hours after the estimated arrival time!!!!! AND THEY ARE STILL NOT HERE!!!!!!!!!Sunday,,Heathrow is full of people!!!And they are still waiting in the line!!!! 3.56 pm!!! people!!!Hurry up!!!! Chicken is drying up!!i think London eye tonite has tobe cancelled..wont be able to make it, they will be so tired and traumatised by the crowd in Heathrow, haha..welcome to LONDON!!!!!!!!!!

I am all excited now..we will spend the whole two weeks together:> gonna be a jam pack holiday for them n for us, i feel tired already..haha..we have got the whole trip planned, dun think i will have much time to update anything for this two weeks..will try:>
