scotland day 3

So, third day in scotland, we decided to join a day tour, we joined the tour from the main bus station, we will go to Glan Coe, Loch Ness , Inverness and back to edinburgh, is a long ride, we have to cover almost the whole high land in one day..not really a good choice, but if you do not have enuf time, this might b the best way to see the scenary in scotand..most of the time we were on the bus, listening to the radio guide, and they have very limited stops and very little time, if i am not wrong, our longest stop for the whole day is 45 minutes at loch ness, not very happy we were ofcoz, but....anyway, din manage to get any nice photoes that day, becourse sky was rather gloomy, and most of the photoes were taken from the bus..but we were really stunned by the land scape of scotland, next time when i go back , better make sure we bring someone who can drive:> will be a much better way to travel:>

Our breakfast stop, saw this hairy cow:> quite cute actually:>

Old rail way, now has been converted to a walking path..

Glen Coe, with old sad history..

snack at glen coe

with this little birdy:>

Atlast, highlight of the tour, Loch ness!!! We gonna do some monster hunting, heheee..

Caledonian Canal in Fort Augustus , 60 mile long, and they got impressive flight of locks, which i will talk about it next time:>

Attlast, Loch Ness!! no monster, they always appear 5 minutes before u arrived and 5 minutes you left, so...live with it, hehe..and i know, i looked super fat in this photo, trust me, i din put on weight at all, is the silly jeans that i wear...lolzz

Ah!!! Monster!!!!!!!NESSIE!!!

see, how beautiful is it? dont u wanna stay there forever?

sctland day 2

Day 2 in scotland, we woke up early of the morning, had a good home cook meal, we were off on the road again:> We continued our bus ride yesterday, ( another good thing, the bus tour ticket valid for 24 hours) First stop, Edinburgh Castle, we reached the castle quite early, lucky, not much visitor..castle it self is nothing really much, like lots of other castle we saw, but the outlook and the history of it make it slighly more interesting than others:>

After the castle, we made our way to Botanic Garden, very nice garden with lots of collection
My dad found a place for him to take a nap:>

Infront of the green house

After lunch and we had a walk around and head for our nxt destination, the Holyrood PARK!!!!!!!Yeah!!!!We gonna climb again!! seriously, my itch for mountain trekking and rock climbing all coming back to me after yesterday trip, it has been so long since i last climb a mountain or do rock climbing..

Yeah, thats where we are going!!!!!!!!

My poor parents, they have done so much walking on this holiday:>

Way to go!!!!!!!!

Rabbit hole, how can i tell? did u see the round round thing? there are rabbit poo, hehe, there are lots of them near the top of the hill..

atlast, we made it, took us about 40 minutes to get to the top..family kodak time!!!!!!!!

We came down from the other side of the mountain, much easier way and shorter walk..then we passed by this ruin castle, more kodak moments..

and atlast, we ended up by the swan lake:> and we walked our way home..how cool is it to stay in Scotland:>hill as park, castle as street view, can go out of the city and see lakes, do fishing when u are free...hmmmmmmm, i wish i can be there forever..

scotland day 1 - Edinburgh

At last, I am in the mood updating my blog again:> Has been busy..
Scotland is actually a last minutes plan, we were thinking wheater going to ireland or wales or scotland, well, we decided scotland atlast, bought the bus tickets and booked a apartment, off we went, on the night itself:> 8 hours on the couch, no joke pal, i will never take such a long journey bus ride in here anymore ( if i can help it) hell man..Malaysia coaches are so much much better than here, we got all the VIP and Super VIP buses, recline seat with foot rest, i miss that really.. Coaches here are like our long distance buses about ten years ago or maybe even more, I dont know how some of the Ang Moh can complain about our seat back home are too tiny for them, seriously..
Anyway, we survived that, left London at 2300 ours and reached Edinburgh around 0730 hours..First thing we do, looked for our apartmment, found it without much difficulty, Edinburgh has very good tourist information system, maps and guides are easily found in the main bus station, streets are nicely planned and built..

so, this was the apartment that we rented, landlord lady came and meet us, gave us the key, and told us will come and meet us to get the key and return our deposits at 0830 hours the day we gonna leave..nice tidy two bed rooms apartment, central location, cost us 80 pounds per nite, quite cheap actually, plus you can cook and stuff...got a Tesco express just across the street somemore..

Our first meal, noodle soup, yum yum..

after the meal, we venture out to the town, first thing we looked for, the famous Edinburg Castle, looks stunning ..can see it clearly from the town, up on the hill, lots of castle in scotland, his is one of the best one and is still in use.

After that, we join the hop on and off bus tour, looked around the area, we we decided to end our day with hill climbing..there are two mountain/ hill in the city, one is calton hill, the other higher one is holyrood park, is amazing, is a councilpark but is atleast 600 feets high( if i am not wrong:>but is quite high..anyway we choose to spend our evening on the Calton hill, took us about 15 minutes to get up the hill, steep hill, but once you reached the top, stunning view, can see the whole city and seaside, love it!!

we walked around the hill and have some family kodak time:>

We stayed till the sunset time, the sun set is beautiful..we litrally stand ther eand watch till the sun is conmpletely gone..wonderful, i never seen such a nice sunset before:>

There ends of our first day in scotland:>i Love the place, will definately go back again with wati:>

There was this perfect weather day, i decided to bring my parents to richmond Kew Garden, only then we was told that we have to pay like 11 pounds to get into the garden, and the officer told me: This is not just a park and garden, we have got lots of tropical palnts collection inside, like banana tress and palm trees!! well, what ever it is, i am not gonna pay 11 pound to get into a garden and see banana trees, so we decided to roam around the river side instead.. While we were walking and cit chatting, we saw this farm witk lots of local plants in it, there got apple trees, rash berries, tomatoes, pumpkin, prune and lots of other stuff, is a private farm that owes by a group of people, lucky for us, we met one of the owner outside the farm and she agreed to take us inside for a llitte tour..
